About The Black Coffee Life
I never drank coffee. Then, in early 2025, I was diagnosed with a serious liver ailment. One of the strategies I was given by the doctor to address the problem was to drink 2-3 cups of black coffee per day.
I initially approached it as “coffee as medicine,” and simply put up with the bitterness and burnt taste of what I was drinking. But then, as my coffee journey progressed, I discovered all the different beans, grinds, and brewing methods that coffee offers–and that drinking black coffee not only had health benefits but could taste good, too!
I have previous experience with running a blog. I’ve run The Black Coffee Life’s brother site, Sharpologist (“What your father didn’t teach you about shaving“) for going on 15 years now. So, with a little help from a few of Sharpologist’s freelance authors (including Otto Wright and Sophie Leclerc), I started this site.
